A piece of Whistler's history
The Blackcomb Lodge opened in December 1980 — and has stayed true to its original design ever since.

The lodge the village was built around
The Blackcomb Lodge was designed in the late 1970s by the award-winning architectural firm Rhone & Morton as a world-class ski lodge hotel on Lot One of the new Whistler Village. No expense was spared in its construction.
The building anchors the design of the village, situated on the corner of Skier's Approach and Village Square — strategically facing both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, with restaurants and bars whose windows look directly onto the stroll.
The hotel's entrance opens into Village Square, putting everything Whistler has to offer within a few steps. Our rooms have been completely renovated while keeping the authentic Whistler design inspired by the mountain location — with environmentally friendly, sustainable natural elements throughout.
